As Above, So Below

As above, so below

For no one tree can grow

With heaven as its home

Less its roots reach down

Into Hell underground

The brighter the light in me

The darker my soul they see

Past lives I can never forsake

Without light, I’m driven by hate

In dark times, I need always hold dear

The light within so bright and clear

For deep down I know

How the old saying goes

As above, so below

The deeper my roots go

The higher my limbs grow.
